I live in Mt. Airy with my husband, Denny, our two dogs, Shy & Missy, and our three cats , Fannie, Mouser and Bobby. While I was in high school, I worked in a small animal hospital as a veterinary assistant. I received a bachelor's degree in Animal Science from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2001. After graduation, I wasn't quite sure what I wanted to do with my degree. I ended up working in the business field for a year and a half before I realized how much I missed working with animals. I returned to the veterinary field and began taking classes to become a registered veterinary technician.

In September 2005, I started my veterinary technician internship at Kingsbrook Animal Hospital. After having such a great internship experience at Kingsbrook, I knew it would be a wonderful place to work as a technician. I joined Kingsbrook full-time in May 2006 after completing my degree from the Community College of Baltimore. In my free time, I enjoy gardening, hiking, and spending time with my pets as well as with my family and friends.
